Just imagine if there was a course available called 'Angry Black Woman Studies' that dug into why black women had an attitude. That would be absurd. The existence of Angry White Male Studies isn't something I think is worth while but I guess I could understand it's place in the WGS degree. My whole issue with the topic is the course title.The course description provides little information about the class, other than its examination of white men in America and Britain from the 1950s to today and manifestations of male anger in society.But those angry white males are not, needless to say, the ones this KU course is all about. “This course,” says the KU course description , “charts the rise of the ‘angry white male’ in America and Britain since the 1950s, exploring the deeper sources of this emotional state while evaluating recent manifestations of male anger.
